I’m here to prove you wrong! There are SO many ways to make money on Instagram and no, you don’t have to post your outfit of the day.
How do I know? Because I’ve built my personal brand on Instagram and have made $15k in just TWO weeks and none of that came from working with brands.
It came from me listening to my audience and creating a digital product that solves a problem for them.
What’s a digital product? Anything you create online to sell. That can be an online course, E-book, templates, art prints, Lightroom presets, and more.
How can you create and sell a digital product? So glad you asked!
SOLVE A PROBLEM
It’s important to know what your audience wants from you. People buy to solve a problem so you need to be able to properly communicate what problem it solves for them and WHY they need to solve that problem.
KEEP IT SIMPLE
Not only that, but also in the language they speak. If they were venting to you about this problem, how would they describe it? It can be easy to speak in our own industry jargon but a lot of times your audience doesn’t understand those terms. Keep it simple!
DECIDE ON A FORMAT
If you are a great writer and love to design, an E-book might be perfect for you. Or, if you want something higher level where you can talk and explain, an online course might be better for you. Decide on a format that makes sense for you and your audience AND the price point. A $150 e-book could sell, it just might be more challenging to sell. Whereas an online course could easily sell from $100 – $5,000.
PRIME YOUR AUDIENCE
Get them excited for what’s coming! Talk about it ALL the time and this is when you should be shifting all of your content to talk about the topic of your digital product. You don’t want to announce something and launch the very next day. People need time to get excited and to understand why your digital product will help them.
CREATE + LAUNCH!
After you created your amazing digital product and primed your audience, it’s time to launch! You should be talking about it all day on your Instagram story and sharing screenshots of people purchasing to build hype and fomo. Don’t forget to also keep talking about it after the launch.
